Nomination Form for Board of Directors Election
Monday, August 24th at Cardinal Management (send your form via mail or email)
If you are interesting in running for a seat on The Oakton's Board of Directors, send in your nomination form and it must be received by Cardinal Management by August 24. Any owner in good standing is eligible to run. The nomination form was mailed to owners and is also electronically available as a PDF file on the Governance page.
Deadline for Chimney Inspections/Cleaning & Dryer Vent Cleaning is Extended to Sept. 30
Wednesday, September 30th
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for the cleaning and inspection for fireplace chimneys & dryer vents in the condominium units has been extended to September 30, 2020. 
If you do not use your fireplace chimney and wish to file for an exemption, please do so at anytime up through Sept. 30. Please remember to fill out and sign the waiver form and send in a copy of your homeowner's insurance.
If your dryer is taking longer to dry clothes longer than normal, your vent may be clogged with lint. Lint build up in the dryer vent may pose a hazard. Please use common sense regarding whether or not you feel that your dryer vent needs to be inspected and cleaned by a professional contractor sooner than later. If you feel that the dryer vent is clogged and you do not wish to have it cleaned, please use caution when using your dryer and make sure you are nearby the laundry room when the dryer is on.
Many fireplace chimney contractors also clean dryer vents. Unit owners are required to prove compliance with this regulation by forwarding a copy of the contractor's invoice to the property manager by the deadline.
